Second Line Support Technician
We have an opportunity for a Support Technician in our Penge office who is strong in Windows Application Support, Active Directory, MSP environment and general IT Support. To be considered you must have excellent customer services experience within an IT Support Position, preferably in a professional services or ITIL run service function supporting a SLA driven, complex and multi-site environment.
Job Description
- Log and record, prioritise and work on desktop, telecoms and application support issues and requests.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows server and desktop infrastructure.
- Take ownership and responsibility of user problems and be pro-active when dealing with users of all levels.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with clients to promote high level of customer service.
- Timely resolution to support issues and requests via telephone and remote support.
- Monitoring and routine systems administration tasks.
- General network administrative tasks. Printer setup, adding users, backup and restore etc.
- Undertake installation and maintenance of clients software and liaise with 3rd party vendors.
- Support Windows based PC’s (7/8/10).
Job requirements
- You must be a current UK resident
- Hold a valid full U.K. Driving licence
- Experience providing end user technical support.
- Proven experience with Windows IT infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems including Windows 7/8/10 and Server /2008/2012.
- Apple Mac OS skills would be an advantage but not essential.
- Highly organised and detail oriented.
- Logical thinking and excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Good understanding of DHCP and DNS – Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP Networking.
- Experience of troubleshooting PC/Server Hardware and Software issues.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to see project and problem resolutions to completion
- experience in wireless network deployment and management
- Experience working in a Help Desk environment and supporting users remotely
- Reliable and conscientious in work habits.
Contract Length: Full Time
Salary : £ 22k – £30k Negotiable depending on experience
